Senator Natasha Denies Activist’s Claims, Says Leaked Calls Are Fake
Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has refuted allegations made by U.S.-based activist Dr. Sandra Duru, popularly known as Professor Mgbeke, asserting that the audio recordings attributed to her are fabricated.
In a statement released by her media aide, Israel Arogbonlo, the Kogi Central lawmaker described all claims as baseless and promised a formal response in due course.
Mgbeke had earlier published what she termed “shocking evidence,” claiming to expose Akpoti-Uduaghan’s alleged lies about Senate President Godswill Akpabio in relation to a controversial sexual misconduct allegation.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, however, dismissed the recordings as not originating from her, stating, “In the nearest of time, I will respond to the unfounded allegations made therein.”
