Judge Relocates Nnamdi Kanu Trial to DSS HQ for Container Inspection

Nnamdi Kanu’s ongoing terrorism trial took an unexpected turn this Friday, June 13, 2025, when Judge James Omotosho ordered that the hearing be relocated from the Federal High Court in Abuja to the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters. This move, primarily to allow inspection of a shipping container alleged to contain a radio transmitter tied to Radio Biafra, brings a fresh layer of intrigue to the case.

A DSS witness (PW4‑DDD) described Kanu as a terrorist, testifying that he incited the South-East through Radio Biafra, and detailed where the transmitter was allegedly hidden  . This testimony might weigh heavily as the court examines the evidence in situ.

Where the Trial Goes Next

With the hearing now in DSS custody, the court paused to inspect the container. The next date for the trial has not yet been announced, but court watchers expect further developments once the inspection concludes .
