Jay-Z Sues Woman and Lawyers Over Dropped Rape Allegations

Jay-Z has filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman identified as “Jane Doe” and her attorneys, Tony Buzbee and David Fortney, following her now-withdrawn rape allegations. The rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, alleges the trio conspired to tarnish his reputation and extort him financially through what he describes as a malicious and baseless legal stunt.

According to court documents, the hip-hop mogul claims the false accusations led to over $20 million in losses for his entertainment company, Roc Nation. He further asserts that the ordeal inflicted serious emotional distress and irreparable damage to his public image and business relationships.

Jay-Z is now seeking a jury trial, bringing forward claims of defamation, malicious prosecution, and civil conspiracy. His legal team argues that the lawsuit aims to hold the defendants accountable for the intentional harm caused and to discourage similar abuses of the legal system in the future.
